About Barbara Saunders

Barbara Saunders is a Charter Member of The Agency Port Townsend and the dedicated Listing Coordinator for top-producing broker Holley Carlson. Licensed since 1994, she brings a wealth of real estate experience to her behind-the-scenes role, meticulously researching properties to ensure accurate and comprehensive details. Barbara manages this portion of the transaction process so Holley can focus on servicing her clients and ultimately delivering a seamless transaction for all clientele.

Prior to entering the real estate field, Barbara built a distinguished career as a registered nurse, serving communities in Colorado Springs, Galveston (Texas), La Jolla (California), and Burkina Faso. Her five years in French-speaking West Africa included volunteer work with the Peace Corps and later a partnership with an NGO to establish mother-newborn clinics—a testament to her lifelong dedication to helping others.

Barbara’s community engagement and professional excellence have earned her the REALTOR® of the Year Award for Jefferson County on two occasions, honoring her generous contributions to both the REALTOR® Association and local causes. She served as the association’s Education Chair for many years, organizing continuing education opportunities for area REALTORS®. Driven by a global perspective, Barbara pursued international real estate studies through the CIPS coursework in Bangkok and Paris and contributed her expertise as a member of the Seattle International Real Estate Council (IREC).

In her free time, Barbara enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, bike riding, and hiking.
